Hi all, just recently bought MTEC 3300k H1 for high beams, as they are 100w and the recommended w on a s2k is 55w. What sort of damages if any would i be looking at, considering they are high beams and are rarely used.

Thanks in advance!

wires may melt if they're on for too long?

I don't think it'll cause much drama.. Your globe would probably burn out quicker than it should, before the wire does.. Although if kept on long enough, you might have wiring issues (going hard, etc). Quick fix is to re-ground the wire to a solid ground, ie. Under a fender bolt with thicker wire. But as you'll be using it for high-beam, you shouldn't have to worry about it, unless your planning to keep em on for almost as long as your normal low beams.

Otherwise, if you live where there aren't many street lights and drive with them on constantly, I reccommend a HID setup.

Yep, HID comes standard on S2000 for LO-BEAM. But I'm suggesting going a HID setup for your HI-BEAM if your planning to use it alot.

the wiring is not thick enough to handle 100w, either use a 55w or risk your wiring getting burnt.
