Sorry - Noob question here:

just got a dc5r, wondering if its normal for the RPM to be at 3.2 k-ish whilst driving on freeways.

I would say its pretty normal. My DC5R is sitting on around 3100rpm on 6th gear going 100km/h

DC2's need a 6th gear too :( it's so annoying being stuck in 5th at 110km/h...

Trying having a 4.9 final drive - I was sitting on ~4,500rpm @ 110km/h

ive had 3 dc5r's, all sit between 3.2-3.4 on the highway.. They are a very rev hungry car, you'll notice that through everyday driving. Never seen a car get to 3000 revs so quick haha.

great - thanks for confirming everyone!

Loving the drive - havent driven a 6spd gearbox before and still adjusting to the short shift gearbox!

Well for my DC5R before I changed the flywheel, intake and other various mods it was 3.1k at 100kph, after these little mods its at 3.2k when im on freeway.. its all good mate k20 wants to sit in higher rev range :P
