EuroZed: have you got the CU2 wheels for your CL9 yet?
I just sold my 18" CU2 wheels to a nice chap on ebay and its turns out he is going to put it on his black CL9.
It looked quite nice when I just put the wheels next to his existing wheels, but the wheel arches will be quite filled.

I love the standard alloys that Honda has used on both the CL9 and CU2 models,as they are very sexy, and suit the cars perfectly.

*revive*

anyone saw a CU2 std 17 inch on a CL9? How does it look?

I got the old 16's at the moment, needless to say, not the best look.

I've got the 17" CU2 wheels on my car. Looks a lot better than the 17" and lux rims for CL9 IMO. I got them stock when buying my car 2nd hand haha.

I'll post some pics later from home.

does anyone know if the cu2 lux rims would fit directly onto the cl9? or does it have to be modded somehow?

One thing to be aware of is they are a very heavy wheel, I was amazed at their weight when I got a set

very true, i have a set on my cl9 , performance has suffered big time, the car doesnt respond much when u open up the throttle, but then again looks heaps better then my standard 16s hehe

oh dear. that doesn't sound good. has your fuel efficiency suffered much?
also how has it affected handling?
but i must admit that they do look great. <- primary reason for wanting to change

ah i've found the weights
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?153165-CU2-standard-wheels-for-CL9-*picture-posted*/page6&highlight=cu2+wheels+cl9

i can stick a loaf of bread between the fender and tyres gap.......

stock CU2 luxury is 18x8 offset +55.. and is around 29kg with the Michelin Primacy HP 235 45 18 tyre (made in France and has rather soft sidewall, and no lip protection flange at all!)

stock CL9 luxury is 17x7 offset +55.. and is around 23kg with the Potenza RE040 225 45 17 tyre (made in Japan and has stiffer sidewall, and has a bit of lip protection flange) (i weighted it when i had it)
thats quite a big difference...

the car feels more stable with the 18s and definitely more luxurious, fuel efficiency prolly down 50-60kms per tank, mines a auto, u got a set already?

jian
27-10-2011, 10:31 PM
nope.. found a set for sale at a wrecker's.. thinking whether or not to get it..

ic, how much they want for it? with tyres?

jian
28-10-2011, 09:12 PM
yep. it was something like 650 w/80% tyres.. and $50 for my old rims which is.. meh. (pretty sure they're worth more than $50)

What was wrong with the car?

Is it legal to use wheels off a written off car ;l

jian
28-10-2011, 10:00 PM
must have been written off for some reason.. hmm i have no idea actually. i thought that if the wheels were still good it should be okay? ugh guess i might have to rethink this.

lol, only the car is written off, not the wheels hehe

jian

would it still be safe to use the tyres though?
