Hey guys, my EG is overheating for some reason.
There is enough coolant in the car, and the overflow bottle.
When im driving its fine, but when stop for a min or two the needle starts to rise up, and then start driving again it stops, i think it only happens when i have the A/C on. because it didnt happen before.
The coolant bubbles out into the overflow bottle and even makes the overflow bottle overflow.

What could cause this?

remove thermostat and test if it opens
what you use for coolant tap water?
does the fan engage? is it even hooked up?
any visible leaks?
pressure test for external and internal leaks

from the sounds of it, your water pump is gone...

im not an expert, but after you check if the radiator fan its okay, try to change the radiator cup, im saying this coz it happens to me, my car overflow the coolant reservoir bottle all i did is change the radiator cup and solved the problem. coz my mechanic said my radiator cup cant hold the pressure... hope this helps,.,

could also be that your fans are not working, turn the ac on and have a look if the fans work while thhe a/c is on

while your at it pressure testing the cooling system, you do the cap as well should be sealing good

did u release the air in ur cooling system ? i had the same problem just release the air fromt he top radiator hose going to ur head.

EASY FIX

hey jones, there is a bleed nipple to release the air from cooling system 10mm bleed nipple no need to remove coolant hose :)

You've overheated and your head gasket is blown. Air is being blown from cylinder compression in to your water system, hence its continuously bubbling out your overflow bottle.

is the oil milky?
things to look for:
thermo fan switch on radiator (most likely by sounds of it)
rad cap
hoses
thermostat
temp sensor wiring from the thermo came off( happen to me once, and the temp gauge died+fan wasnt spinning)
what coolant u using?

How do i test the raditor fan? to see if it still works, is there a fuse for it?

Fuse is in the engine bay next to the battery bro..
Just let your car idle till it reaches temperature, if it creeps higher than normal and the fan doesn't come on, then it's not working lol.
You can get a cooling system pressure tester from repco pretty cheap

radiator CAP not cup...and id check ur fans first man..if not drain it and fill it up again u might have some air or blockage somewhere...and yes check thermostat very easy to do
