Reason for the JVC.. cant be that bad if these folks gave it an award.

But any user reviews on it, or recommendation on other double din HUs much apreciated

icacha, my guess is instead of adjustable crossovers, a comprehensive parametric eq, ta/tc, an user-friendly GUI, top build-quality, plus other functions that are actually useful... that it has flashy looks with dancing dolphin screensavers and focuses on mp3/ipod playback (cus we all know those source materials are superior..)
form over function... wait waaat?

*sigh* If you have nothing useful to contribute please refrain from posting
Now..the contenders in that price range, Clarion CX609A
http://www.zercustoms.com/news/images/Clarion-CX609E-b.jpg
and Alpine CDE-W203E
http://www.cezar.ua/local/goodimg/CDE-W203E.jpg
The BT functions was optional in the Apline, but came standard in the JVC..plus CAM is having a special on their catalog for it apparently

lol..no kiding. The alpine looks like something from an 80's volvo.
I've gone with the JVC..Ryda did me a pricematch with CAM's catalog :) And with its specs, its a bargain
Cant wait to give it a run

JVC has dual bluetooth and dual USB which no other unit has on the market which means that u can connect two phones at the same time and have front usb and rear usb to neat things up
the JVC also has the highest Voltage output for RCA which means louder and crisper music.
JVC UI is also very user friendly unlike clarion and others.
Hope that help
