my stock pipe is 1.75" on D16Y8
if i change it all the way to 2"
would that have alot of back pressure?
and make the car slower?

It will have less back pressure because it's bigger, but still enough back pressure to retain most of the low-end power of your engine. However because it's got less back pressure you'll also get more high-end power. It's a good size for the N/A D-series.

Carr will be a little faster or at least certainly not slower.

on a D series, you might find a slight lag low down under 2krpm, but it should improve all above that

LOL some idiot told me that i need Vtec controller, or else it will be slower HAHA
some mechanic he told me that, i was asking him if he do stainless steel pipe from 1.75" to 2"
then hes like "your car will be no power after that cause of back pressure and u need to do air intake and Vtec controler and ECU set up, or else it will be slower"
Totally off topic LOL!

We have no low-end power to begin with - it's a D-series. Just take whatever bonus you can from 4k RPM upwards. 2" is an ideal compromise for upgrade on D.
