Inner cv joint problems.

So i was attempting to change the cv boots of my car in which i had to take out the driveshaft, the problem is that when i pulled out the shaft, the inner cv joint was still in place with the gearbox.. How would I take that out?

get a lever to pop it out, sometimes its a real bastard to get out

a crowbar or massive flat head always worked for me
a firm pop usually does it
