coolant temp switch at the back of the block above the oil filter (civic 91 si zc)...i think its leaking from there when the motor is hot..cause im losing coolant everytime the car is driven..

pretty sure the sensor above the oil filter is the oil pressure sensor, not coolant switch. If there is coolant coming out there something is seriously wrong with your motor

im am sure its the coolant temp switch above the oil filter next to it is the oil pressure sensor..it mayb a leak from there its hard to see..could it be the water pump playing up?

Do you have any reason to believe it's the switch (extremely unlikely, it's solid) or the water pump? There are plenty of rubber hoses around that area just begging to split over time.

I had a motor burn coolant once. Found a tiny crack in the sleeve wheen I pulled it apart.

There's a small rubber hose running from the middle of the water-pipe, under the manifold, up to the ICV -- right near the area in question (on the OBD0/1 B-series anyway).

well hopefully its only a bad hose...
