Hey guys,
Just spent the day installing my icebox and when i thought i was on the home stretch to finishing, one of the screws for the airbox WILL NOT SCREW IN!!!!!!
From what i've read from guys in the states it seems like it's an issue when using the supplied CT filter. I've tried so damn hard to screw in this one bolt, my question is will the car be alright if i drove around temporarily with only 3 bolts tightly screwed in while i shop for a k&n filter?
It seems pretty tight.
Edit: Issue resolved, grew another pair of hands so i could push the bottom and top bit together whilst forcing the screw in.

It was such a relief feeling the screw catch the bottom half of the airbox. Haven't driven the car a fair amount but so far i feel the power delivery is smoother and redlines easier, also finding the sound when hitting vtec is a little throatier and nicer. Ill definitely change to k&n when its time to replace the filter, make life a lot easier.

Now all you need is the CT header(which i have). That makes a noticible difference.Bolts straight on to stock cat..AU$610+shipping!!

May as well get a high flow cat while your at it. just check out Heel Toe Auto... And yes the headers make a difference... Much less restrictive.

That's my plan once my funds recover from purchasing a FEELS catback and an icebox in the last few weeks. Damn cars are such money pits lol.

Yeah i would probably change the cat and headers in one go. Just a question though, will changing the headers and cat increase the sound from my catback? and would the sound be effected if i left the cat and only changed the headers?
Thanks

Changing the headers will make the exhaust louder. I don't think the Cat will have much effect on the sound

It's the other way around!Headers(in my case)made only a minimal effect on noise/sound whereas a high flow cat i believe will increase the sound/noise level.BTW i have stock cat back.

Ah k maybe different headers/cats have different outcomes. On my civic I had a cat back, I then put k's racing headers on and the noise difference was huge.

Both will make a substantial difference in combination... just one won't change much. Both will make a difference with catback already done
