Hi guys just a quick question
I want to remove the tape to change the look of the car
but just asking is there no way of purchasing new tape and have it re applied if i change my mind?

not sure if I can help you with the replacement tape question, but here's a headsup: on some cars when the tape's removed the paint underneath has imperfections like scratches and scrapes etc. it's not common but it's something to be aware of.
that's what's stopped me removing my tape, so if there's a way to replace the tape once removed I'd also like to know :)

I took mine off. So much better. Took forever though to remove all the gluey residue behind from 10yrs of contact.

why did honda put the black tape there in the first place?! looks so much better without it.

Its purpose is to hold the glass tight to the inside of the frame and seal at the same time.

then by taking it off, are u making the windscreen more loose and increase chance of falling out?

lol doubt it serves any purpose because berlina black S2k's dont have tape (and neither do any 02 S2ks and newer).

You're talking about the windscreen seal, not the tape....
