starting problem.

hey, sometimes when i try and start my car it wont start because something isnt allowing my fuel pump to turn on and at the same time there is no spark. but if i sit there for a few minutes with the ignition on ill hear something click and i can hear the pump turn on then the car will start. confused. thanks its a b18c5 in a 93 civic sedan si

Sounds just like a main relay problem. You will have to replace it, or try resoldering the pins as it is usually a 'dry joint' that has developed. There will be detailed posts on this somewhere on the site
