Hey guys,

How much should I be paying for a decent custom exhaust for an em1? I just want to know what everyone paid so I know what to look for when shopping and not get ripped off.

Also should I go for branded headers (eg. xforce) + custom exhaust or custom from headers all the way through to the tip?

Cheers,

Duckey

upto you man with custom or branded exhaust/ headers. both will give good results.

fujitsubo catbacks brand new go for lyk $1200ish and they are really good quality.
check out jdmyard on the forums trader section, they sell them.

if you are looking for titanium cat back.. eg. J's racing.. they are expensive.. and will take u like 6months to get into australia brand new lol
but if used your still looking at bout $1800+

I think go pre-fab for header, 2" is fine, XForce will do the job or something similar.

100cel high-flow cat. Good idea IMO.

Custom made cat-back, 2.25" is a good size for B16A.

for custom I was quoted 700 fitted for my EM1. I ended up getting a skunk2 catback though secondhand for the right price. Dont get the skunk2 megapower r (70mm), the normal megapower (60mm) is big enough for the b16 unless it is heavily modified. Keep your eyes open and some decent secondhand brand name headers will pop up on here.

Most if not all 100 cpsi cats are defectable and do not pass epa. They are track oriented. You would have to check with your states laws and then check with the cat packaging or ask the shop.

Brands like 'Metal' are generally safe for this. If a cat converter company cannot supply you with the emissions information that you need then I wouldn't bother with them anyway, but ultimately I think you'd be hard pressed to get done for having a cat that doesn't cut it - naive as that sounds. 100cel is much better than nothing. Otherwise just go 200cel if you're worried I guess. Stock cat is restrictive++!

Yeah stock cats are around 400 cpsi from memory if not more.

What does this include? Header? Cat? Cat-back? Muffler? Stainless or mild steel? Mandrel or press bends? Size?
