Hey again guys and girls,

While waiting for my Teg to come back from the panelbeaters (small prang), I've finally realised what I've been missing. Then I realise what I haven't been missing - poor headroom, lack of VTEC (It's a pre-facelift GSi).

In the mean time, I've been looking around for VTEC-powered Integras, and have found myself in the over $10-15k bracket. There were a few average-condition DC2Rs in that price range on CarSales (high kms, worn seat trim, etc), which is somewhat cheap for a DC2R, but then I found some really surprisingly cheap DC5s:

2004 Facelifted Integra Luxury - http://tinyurl.com/26cdooq - $12,100

2001 DC5R - http://tinyurl.com/2cobogz - $12,800

Are these cars too cheap? What problems would these cars have? AFAIK the DC5R has been modified (supercharged, engine/gearbox rebuild).

The DC5s have adjustable seats right?

Thank you
Avalon Shotkicker

Whats wrong with that?...on the other hand its ironic to see the K24 powered DC2 shot up to $25,000 from around $15,000 not long ago

Whats wrong with that?

When looking at Carsales, most of the DC5s at that price range were the base model, mainly 2001-2002, and a lot of them were even automatic. Most of the DC5Rs were closer to $20k as well.

Personal pref maybe?

You can always find out its history. That supercharged dc5 has a QLD plate and getting sold in VIC, do you know how to do a vehicle status check online in all states?

Vti-r's are pretty cheap. Only problem is that the facelifted models are REALLY rare on carsales and everytime I see one its done too many k's and is usually green :/. For that price range you could look at BB6 Preludes, EM1's, even WRX's and Supra's aswell. There are a few good dc2r's around in NSW atm around the 15k mark.
