Are you talkin bout the rocker cover? Baically unscrew all the screws and lift it off. Sometimes its been glued down in each corner by special glue. Get a knife or a phillip head(anything with a flat tip) and slightly nudge it out or if there glue nudge til glue unsticks. There might be a better way but thats how i did mine when i changed my cover.

you have to remove the rocca cover
then remove the last cam follower ( usually 4 bolts ) then replace/seal the cam plug refit the cam follower and tension it down with a tourque wrench. then refit the rocca cover.

to clarify what ECU man said -

to replace this plug , you have to remove the upper cam cover ( 4-8 8 or 10mm bolts i think) , shimmy the sealant with a flathead screwdriver , lift off - then attned to the last cam guide next to the plug....2 x 10 or 12mm nuts and you can pull it out i beleive. . . .

Vtec Engines have it to.
what you call cam plate I call cam follower, I just added the photo above, yellow arrows show the 2x 10mm bolts , there are 2x 12 mm bolts under the rocca cover

you defantly do not need to remove the intake cam as he did. its got nuthing to do with the plug. for a vtir you would have to loosen that plate over the whole cam.

non vtec engines dont have this, so you can just undo the last follower as you can get to the bolts.

right so I dont need to remove the exhaust cam at all or the plate??
but would need to get that hondabond and a new rocker seal and new plug or do I just seal it up with hondabond or some high temp sillicone??

honda bond is expensive, use pyrtec ultra grey, you will save $110 :)

do not use silicone based products

dude, DO NOT REMOVE YOUR CAM. gee all that effort for nuthing, do you really want to remove your timming belt.

like I said before. just remove the last cam follower. dc4 will not have the plate. only VTIR do.

Ok dude I was just doble checking so Its a farken simple job then??
What about the hondabond and rocker seal?? Do I need It for the plug and do I need to buy a new one?? ( new plug )

I just edited my post above, I though you said you do need to remove the exhaust cam. sorry.

also unless your sealant is sensor safe you will damage your 02 sensor.

yeah the jo isnt really that hard. make sure you use a torque wrench on the cam follower. dont just tighten it.

it pays to put in a new plug and use sealant on it and the rocca gasket

So the cam follower or cam plate has to b removed??
Also where do u get this pyrtec ultra grey from and how much is it??
And I just put that stuff on the gasket as well ( if in good condition) right??
Sorry for being so inquisitive thats because a) I want thing to go right & b) Im a farken dixlexic cvnt HAAHAHA

It's a 10-20 minute job if that, takes longer because you'll want to clean the cam cover gasket if you're reusing it as well as the mating surfaces, and make sure that you get an even spead of sealant. Sealant you can buy from almost any car accessory shop.

Hmm, don't have too much of a poke around if you're not sure.
