A/C compressor, reconditioned vs aftermarket ? ?

ok, my a/c isn't cold enough and im looking to not just regas but change the whole system, most expensive part would be the compressor and im just not sure if to pay nearly $400 for a reconditioned compressor that's supplied from the workshop(they will take their cut), OR to buy an brand NEW aftermarket compressor from eBay that's from USA for only $240, as australian dollar high.

what brand is the aftermarket compressor? if its a well known brand i would get it but if its a no-name brand then i would stay away from it.
