Here it is. I bought 10' M3 hood vents and the honeycomb grills.
It should look good after it's all done. At least to me.
I had a vision, got balls the size of a grapefruit, confidence to do it and I'm going to make it work.
Following videos are the passenger side vent. I still need to clean up the edges so its more flushed. I bought aluminum sheet metal and will create brackets underneath to hold up the M3 vents. I have to use etch primer on the edges to prevent the metal from rusting and then touch up paint. I also plan to cut out clear plexiglass covers for the M3 vents for when it rains.
Working on the drive side vent tomorrow.
Also installed type s front lip and side skirts. I cut up the side skirts so I plan to mold the mud guards to the side skirts. Also did 35% window tint all around and blue tinted mirrors. Will post pics later on.

Finished driver side M3 vent today. I didn't have much time afterwards so I have to do it next weekend to clean up.
M3 vents are not done yet. I have to sand down the sides, etch primer and touch up paint. Then work on the brackets.

what's next? love you work
thanks man
1) getting my lip kit, grill and hood vents professionally paint matched. the rattle cans arent working for me.
2) install my type s rear lip
3) work with plexiglass. i plan to cut them out as covers over the vents for when it rains.
4) also cut out plexiglass covers for my foglight housing
5) fiberglass the gap inbetween the mudguards and sideskirts.
6) remake some eye lids since i lost one.
7) re-wrap grill with CF vinyl
8) sand down my other lip kit

It came out to like $90 USD for the m3 vents/honeycomb grills. Probably another $50-$100 USD to get it paint matched or you can use flat black/gloss black for $3 USD

hey defcon a few questions
1) where did u get the tinting and the blue side mirror tint? was it all diy? and how much did it cost?
2) did u lower ur car? if so, with what? springs/coils? and which brand
3) with the rear lip i noticed u have gaps, u said ur going to use double sided tape, which brand? are u sure it will hold? cause ive got the mugen front lip and theres gaps near the corners, mechanic is charging me $200 extra to fit all 4 pieces ($800 incl paint) cause he says theyre gotta muck around alot to make them fit, like inject silicon into the gaps and stuff. i dont want that. im sure u can heat it up and hold it down with tape. but they said it will distort the ends (cause if u push the gaps in, the ends push out...but insignificantly) and if u use tape, they said over time the gap will try to pull itself off the front bumper and warp it out of shape.....
please let me know how u go with the rear bumper.
4) what rims are those in the videos and pics? not the tenspecs...u change rims like theyre shoes, i hope ur like trading them in or something lol. how much did they set u back?
5) lastly, can u move to australia? lol

hey defcon a few questions
1) where did u get the tinting and the blue side mirror tint? was it all diy? and how much did it cost?
i got my windows and side mirrors tinted professionally for $160. i got the blue mirrors from summitracing.com. the brand is called Gila. Pacific Blue is the exact color. FYI they look cool but its grainy
2) did u lower ur car? if so, with what? springs/coils? and which brand\
yea its lowered 1.5" im using Tein S Tech springs. steering is tighter and i can feel the road a lot better
3) with the rear lip i noticed u have gaps, u said ur going to use double sided tape, which brand? are u sure it will hold? cause ive got the mugen front lip and theres gaps near the corners, mechanic is charging me $200 extra to fit all 4 pieces ($800 incl paint) cause he says theyre gotta muck around alot to make them fit, like inject silicon into the gaps and stuff. i dont want that. im sure u can heat it up and hold it down with tape. but they said it will distort the ends (cause if u push the gaps in, the ends push out...but insignificantly) and if u use tape, they said over time the gap will try to pull itself off the front bumper and warp it out of shape.....
right now im using 3M. im not sure it will hold. i know i dont want to inject silicone inbetween the gaps because im still working on my other lip kit
please let me know how u go with the rear bumper.
4) what rims are those in the videos and pics? not the tenspecs...u change rims like theyre shoes, i hope ur like trading them in or something lol. how much did they set u back?
theyre infiniti G35 coupe rims. i sold my rsx type s rims and bought these used for $350. im buying some new 19's within 2 weeks.
5) lastly, can u move to australia? lol
sorry i like California
6) will u leave ur wife for me?
haha no homo

lol thanks for the reply
in regards to the tein S springs, do u have any scrape issues with ramps and speed bumps etc? or parking lots where they have those kerbs at the ends of parking spaces?
especially since u have the kit on as well
would you reccommend getting the blue side mirror tint and was it hard to self apply? when u say grainy, does it obscure the vision
in regards to the rear lip, u have it installed yet? pics if you do! and if so, because its a bit warped (causing the gaps) is it nice and flat and smooth after u 3M it down?
lastly, where do u buy ur rims from? ebay?

i have no scraping issues with ramps or speed bumps. i just keep my distance when i park my car.
in regards to the blue side mirror tint, its very hard to self apply. id recommend getting it done at a tint shop. it does obscure the vision. i totally cannot see faces on my side mirrors.
i havent fully installed the rear lip because im waiting for it to be painted. i just finished trimming the rear lip for my ls tips. i plan to go to a muffler shop to get some brackets welded. im not worried about the gaps at all. it will be flat and smooth after i apply 3M
i bought my used G35 rims off www.craiglist.org
im getting 19's in a few days

ahh ok
sweet
sounds like the side mirror tint is a bad idea for me then
which 3m in particular are you using? ill tell my mechanic to use that instead. dont wanna pay him $200 extra for his complex install method
*edit* btw i just watched one of ur videos where u removed ur resonator but u showed the type S kit before u installed it. i noticed that the kit was warped out of shape, but in the pictures on this thread, its installed perfect with no creases! how did u smooth it out?!?!
