Hi friends!

About to embark on a CL9 project and would appreciate your opinions. I am currently looking at these 2 options

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?R=9770956&__Qpb=true&keywords=&Cr=13&__Ns=pCar_Odometer_Single|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1 ||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0&SearchAction=N&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965322% 204294965100%20900%20413%201621&silo=1011&PriceTo=413&seot=1&__Nne=15&__No=0&trecs=100&__sid=1296F53D5337

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=9713237&__Qpb=true&Cr=9&__Ns=pCar_Odometer_Single|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1 ||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0&keywords=&__No=15&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965322% 204294965100%20900%20413%201621&SearchAction=N&silo=1011&PriceTo=413&seot=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&trecs=100&__sid=1296F53D5337

both are nego. I would def prefer the sport version, but worth that extra dosh?

thanks!

I would definitely suggest getting 06+ version of the CL9 due to the minor upgrades over its preface lift counterpart, If your willing to spend abit more extra, luxury is the way to go for the euro, with sunroof, heated seats, hids, fog lights etc, definately worth the extra dosh :)

This seems like a pretty good deal :) Cheers and good luck with your find.

If i can grab that sport one for 18k I will be happy. More so tempted by the facelift and lip kit. Lux doesn't bother me too much, I think I'd rather spend that money saved on some coilovers etc... Also looking at neesmo's CL for sale here on OH.

Lux is much, much nicer than the Sport, IMHO. I had the same choice and went MY06 Lux. The partial leather seats in the Sport are disappointing, and I can take or leave the bodykit. Lux gets sunroof too.

*edit* That Euro Sport seems to be missing the "Sport" decal from the back? I'd check that car for a rear hit if I were you.

I've just been through the process of buying one of these. The thing id stress the most is to check with the relevant transport authority whether any car has been lodged as a repairable write off, or a write off in general.

Im not sure how relevant it is to your location, but here in WA we had a hail storm earlier in the year and just about every car i looked at was lodged as a repairable write off due to hail damage, but not one seller ever mentioned this, it was always 'nah mate its never been in an accident or had any damage'.

good luck! :D

Yeah I'll defs do a REVS check in order to find out everything. I'm just leaning towards the standard model with lower kays since I'd rather save that money for modding. Plus I cant get a lux for with 60 70 ish kays for around 18 max.

ever thought of buying one in WA? transport would cost you 600-700 max and u get a heap more variety, only thing is they cost a little more to start with here. Im selling mine at moment, its a lux wid lip kit and mods!!!

Sweet ride! But waaay too many kays for my liking. Good luck with the sale though.

Anyone bought stuff off heeltoe? What's the service like? Well packaged-fast shipping? Saw some N+ for 1200 shipped!

Check out advancespeed there about $950 before shipping
Just remember to get them to invoice you below 1k or you will get taxes

I have spent lots of $$$ with heeltoe. Fantastic service. Really genuine.
My advice is try to get several things sent over at the same time to save on shipping.

I personally much prefer the shape of the pre-06 euros. I have an 05 lux which is really good and IMO has the nicest factory wheels of any of the euros. Go lux rather than sport ;)

I'm also contemplating a fd2 and seeing both on the weekend. Will keep you guys posted. On another note. How do the do BC n+ compare with a koni yellow eibach set up? This is in terms of normal day to day driving so comfort at a somewhat slammed drive height.

Havnt had any experience with koni yellow. But the Buddyclub N+ are a very comfortable ride and can be setup for almost any look

I'll most likely get the N+ and ingalls from heelauto but just saw an ad on boostcruising with a guy selling his koni yellows, eibachs, ingalls, RSB and strut brace for 1400 (about 15k on em). Kinda seems a bit much considering can get the N+ and ingalls shipped for 1400 new.

Yeah it is a bit pricey but it'd be a good setup on a Euro.Make the guy an offer.

Probs at 1000 1100 it would be a good deal? Plus considering n+ and ingalls are 1400 new?

I'd go for it.Particularly as you're getting RSB and strut brace as well.

He's sold his ingalls. I'll probs try and get the SB and RSB off him seperately and buy the N+ and ingalls from heel toe

OK Checked out the car with my mate who has a cl9 here on OH and everything seems fine.Good condition, up to date logs, long etc.... I trust that the car is fine but is it worth a racq check? DO they even check much? Or any other Brisbanites know a place that does a good inspection?

In Jan I had RACQ check an s2000 for me as I'm in victoria. They sent out a pretty good report with superficial problems like dents, scratches, etc but they managed to pick up things like brake lines not attached to shocks as per OEM (because the guy had aftermarket shocks) and broken diff mounts and transmission mounts (which made the sale a no-no).

Gave the inspector a call and he was very helpful with approx repair prices, advice etc. Good service but overall it's prob better if you can get a mechanic who you trust to look over the car in detail, and do a compression or leakdown test.

Can't help you out with who though - sorry !

Got my CL9 couple days ago but yes the RACQ test was obviously all fine but definitely worth it for peace of mind.

Noww. I will probs get an intake as a first mod, but is there any big differences between injen and fujita? Gains, sounds quality???
