2006 vti-S Weak Air-Con

Hi Fellow Jazz owners,

i have owned my 2006 VTI-S jazz for 2 years now and have always noticed the air con being weak it would take over 30mins on a hot day to get the car to room temp with the temp all the way to blue (coolest) and 5 fan speed.

i thought it needed regassing which i have done recently and have not noticed much difference from before. the fan itself doesnt seem to blow cold air out hard enough, this is with the vent direction set to dash vent ( not the leg vent).

anyone else find the jazz's air con is weak or is it just me and i should get it checked out?

I find that the air con is cold enough but the fan really needs to be on at least position 3 to get any decent air flow. The fan settings on 3 and 4 are very noisy though. I get nice cold air from mine within a few seconds after turning it on so I would suspect that you do have some kind of problem with yours. Do you know what time period the original warranty is? Mine came with 5 years when I bought it new in 2007. In 2006 it was probably only 3 years but you should find out for sure because you may have an option of getting it looked at under warranty.

The car is bloody gutless with the air con on though!!!!!

Very poor flow through ventilation design on the Jazz, combined with a large glass area make keeping them cool very difficult.

Ever notice how quickly they fog up on a damp day as well ?

they fog up heps quick on a damp night and worst is the vent which demist the windshield is piss weak aswel.
when you turn the ventilation dial to footwell + dash vents its also piss weak.

any way to improve this ?
