Scanned the computer on my Integra and it came up that my oxygen sensor ain't working. Apparently a common problem on these cars.
Is it important to replace? Should I get it checked out by a mechanic to make sure it actually is not working, and that it's not just dirty or something..? If replacing is necessary, should I buy the part 2nd hand from wreckers or just go with factory one that goes for the same price? Original part is too expensive for something that doesn't really effect the car IMO.
Thanks for the help, appreciate it. :)

replace it with a aftermarket one, not worth getting one from the wreckers since u wouldnt know its condition.

Went to honda specialist in Yenorra he said don't bother getting aftermarket or used because it won't fully solve the problem. He said you're much better off geting brand new, which will cost me $450. I went scanned the computer again and now it's coming up that two o2 sensors aren't working.
So in end, it might end up costing me $900+ to fix a problem that may not even be there since the computer might be playing up on me. The mechanic told me to not even worry about it since it doesn't actually effect anything. What do you all think?

sif get a honda one, costs so much, in the end its still going to fail.
might as well go aftermarket if its gonna fail. they stuff up on alot of cars running performance bits and pieces.
i got a Denso one for my car, cost half the price of a honda one
it might effect your fuel consumption.
And if you plan to get your ecu tuned, they kinda would like it to be there and working. of not, they can still tune without it

What model Integra do you have? My experience with DC5's is that aftermarket O2 sensors draw too much current and hence throw the CEL. Even aftermarket Denso sensors will do this (even though Denso manufacture the OEM sensors). $450 is still too much for OEM. I know that JDMYard can get you a primary OEM for a little over $300. I doubt your secondary sensor is playing up so I wouldn't rush into buying one of those too - first try the primary and see if it's still throwing the CEL. Otherwise you can often find guys selling second hand ones on the forums. I sold a spare primary only a few weeks ago unfortunately!
