thanks for the feedback guys i appreciate it just got my steering wheel from ebay. YAY ! =] as i was installing it i realised that the middle whole doesnt line up. In other words its not a snug fit. My old ugly steering wheel fits perfect all the teeth in the circle all fit and fits tight. But the new type r steering wheel has a 2-4mm gap in the middle where you tighten that BIG ASS bolt =[
Well i tightened it real good and turns fine, then i went to blairs tyres to check it out they said this is unsafe and i need a new steering wheel . Then i told them this is a dc2 vti-r and i put the type r steering wheel on , other people do this all the time it should be alright. they said no its dangerous.><
Any help guys do i need to change anything else? it turn fine but i know its dangerous

becarefull that its a type r steering wheel, not a EK, and be also care full to not round the tread of when installing the steering wheel, cause you tightened it too much the thread might be fk'd

iirc the ek splines are slightly larger than the eg/dc splines
chances are you got sold an ek9 wheel instead of a dc2r one hence the wrong fitment
