Hi all. Left the keys in the ignition overnight - def' not switched to ignition on or accessories and no interior lights on etc. Next day battery so flat it barely throws the started solenoid. So put the 8 amp charger on it and it accepts 8 amps initially and goes progressively down to one amp after 10 hours so it appears to be charging properly and at that stage I start it no problems. Stuck it back on for a trickle last night though. I didnt look at the hydrometer but I assume it has not dropped a cell - 1.3 years old and 40,000k.
Has anyone had this happen with their's and could it simply be that with the key in there are systems drawing power, sufficient to kill the bat?
Cheers
