for intakes the theory is to get the maximum amount of oxygen molecules for your car. where do you find oxygen? in the air around you dur. so you want to maximum amount of air going into your intake. colder air also carrys more oxygen molecules than a warmer air, for every 11-degree drop in air intake temperature, an engine can increase performance 1%. If you think of that in reverse, for every 11-degree increase in air intake temperature, the engine can lose performance by 1%.

do some research there is heaps on infomation around on hondatech, club integra and w.e. here are some things to get you started: cold air intake, ram air intake, intake heat wrap, whale penis intake, metal-mesh/foam/paper air filter, Universal Turbo Supercharger Air Intake Fuel Saver Fan(ebay this one, its supposed to work like jet engines but most people say they dont work, gives a nice sound if you dont care about performance though lol)

DIY intake. Get a cheap 3" short ram intake for like $40-70 and buy the parts to extend it like I did. Cost me $175.

As LAN suggested - just get a k n or trust/spoon filter. Take out the intake resonator and leave the airbox. Should give it a nicer noise and look stock too.


Ps any intake CANNOT give you any more power. It only shifts the power band very slightly.

you will get shit with any of these intakes
just minimal gains with noise thats about it
dont kid yourself noise does not equal power
