it only happens sometimes, and i know the problem, just dont know how to fix it. it started happening when my alarm got installed, but the problem is when the door closes, the door seems to squish the wires (the rubber tubing) that go from the inside of the door to the side of the car.. if that makes sense? there is already duck tape around the wires (the wires are in the rubber type tubing) ...

any ideas on how to eliminate this problem?

or is anyone able to fix it... if anyone is an auto electrician, if that is even needed to fix it. its just annoying.

thanks

It shouldn't squash the wires if they were installed properly in the rubber conduit. It doesn't touch anything. More info? Photo?

yeah it shouldnt touch anything, but just appears to be getting squashed when the door is closed.

um, more info, dont know if i can give any.. it was never taken out or anything, or what i am aware of, i just know that the guy had to wrap electrical tape around it after he installed my alarm to stop it from squashing for some reason.

if i take a photo, it would look normal deano.

i know once the plug that does into the door, that connector had come out, and it was ridiculously hard to get back in, not sure if that is causing the problem, if when the door closes, it is pulling it back out..

what should i do to resolve the issue or get it checked out? like where to go.. etc.

would the plug or whatever it is be expensive from honda, and who would put a new one in? i cant see it being a small job.

take off the door trim, maybe the squashing pulled on the wires

You need to find where the problem is exactly. Wheather it is the plug pulling out when you close the door, or if there is a wire damaged from being squashed. Take the trim off as said and have a closer look.
