what size were you thinking of getting?

I saw some nice 15 inch ones, they were 4x100. Most i see are 17-18 and im assuming that's too big

ive got 17's on mine and they fit fine, and makes my speedo more accurate as it was about 5kms out on stock wheels.

it all depends on offset and tyre sizing.

stock steelies are 14x5.5 +45

so if you get something around or a bit lower (as in heading towards 0 offset) than 45 it should fit

anything above +30 should work for you

Unless lowered, 17s make your car sit really high. Not very nice. Stick with 15s or 16s at most if you don't want to lower your car. Good luck!

If I get a set with wheels, can I change them myself? Or do I need to bring to a shop to get it fitted on properly cos diff size. If just rims, then im assuming bring to shop and buy new wheels and they put on. Also must I inform insurance that ive got new rims (bigger ones and alloys not steelies) so they cant void in the event of an accident. And will this increase premium by a lot? Cos just an exhaust mod adds like $60 when I played around with quotes

Charliebrown I noticed a lot of your posts are very noobie. Maybe you should read up a bit as well? But since this is the noob forum, you can change them yourself by following the 13 easy steps below:

* Park car
* Get jack
* Put jack under car
* Jack up car
* Unbolt bolts located towards the centre of wheel
* Take off wheel
* Put old wheel down
* Pick up new wheel
* Put new wheel on
* Replace bolts (if aftermarket you need new lugs)
* Tighten bolts
* Remove jack
* Move to next wheel

Good luck mate. Post pics of your chosen rims =]

its actually better to just loosen the nuts before jacking the car up. not take it out. just loosen it . its much easier

I know how to change a tyre lol just dont wanna take them out then realise the new ones dont slide in! Might go junkyard to have a look but yeah not sure on how to tell sizes from the tyres themselves

all you need to now is the stud size (4x100), centre bore on the rim must be bigger then the hub(forgot the size),make sure the centres isnt too thick. the part where it slide onto your stud. if its too thick your lugs wont go on and check the offset and width of the rim . if its too high and thick theres a chance it wont fit

4x100.

Wouldn't go larger than 17".

If it's 7" wide, at least +35 offset IMO. +40 would be better. 205 or 215 wide tyres.

6.5" wide and you can go out a bit to +30 but +35 would be better. 195 or 205 wide tyres.

The size of the rim and the offset are usually displayed on the inside of the rim themselves; either on a sticker or stamp onto the rim. It may be dirty, but look hard, it will be there.

15" or 16" would be best in my opinion.

Goodluck.

depends on what his main intentions are, if just a daily, any rims is the go really... if its function, look no furthur than weds, rays an buddyclubs as such

15 an 16's are the perfect fitment imho... any bigger ruins the handling

Fitment wise, im a sucker for flushed looks, go anything from 0 to +38, anything over that is tucking too much for me

standard height with 16x7 +38 offset

Lowered about 2-3 inches at the front and 1.5-2 inches at the rear with the same rims
