Helppp cant open my door

hey guys my door handle doesnt work from the outside, i have removed the door panel and fixed the mechanism but wen u put the interior panel back on the door and shut the door the mechanism breaks again (it like falls out of its socket). how do i fix it?

Ps the inside door handle can still open the door

There should be a small plastic clip that locks the mechanism together - did you do it up right?

thats the problem the clip isnt there, where would i get a new one or something similar?

Go to Supercheap Auto - there's a stand they always have near the spare parts counter with a bunch of fiddly springs, nuts, bolts and clips where you may find a similar one.
