hey gues, here to tickle your brains again.

on my mates dc2r while in low rpm and accelerating in ALL gears there is a bearing sound. pretty sure its a bearing sound anyway, the higher in the rpm's you get the quiter it gets any ideas? the clutch was replaced along with new pp, friction plate and throwout bearing, spiggot bearing was not replaced.

thanks

Spriggot should of been replaced - it's included in pretty much all clutch kits.
The noise would disappear at higher
Rpms as the ball bearing noise overlaps. What exactly the noise is , is for your mechanic to drop the box and check everything again. You are supposed to check for excessive play or noise by hand BEFORE reassembling !

the noise may appear to be quieter at higher RPM, but it could just be because you can't hear it over the engine revving/exhaust

If the noise is when clutch is out... Input shaft bearing

Noise when clutch is in... Thrust bearing or clutch bearing whatever you want to call it

I'm guessing it's when the clutch is out since you can hear it from driving

Common in hondas mate, I know 3 that do it...
