Ive searched the forums and they haven't helped so sorry if i'm repeating.

I can't plug in my FM transmitter to listen to iPod so tried to open up but the centre console won't pop out. I unscrewed all the nails on the sides and the ones inside the ashtray.

Got stuck on the first part, the handbrake cover and open-up-thingie-to-put-stuff-in wouldn't come off, and tried to use a flathead to pop out the thing under the handbrake but that wouldn't come off either.

My dad said it's not a blown fuse, and that the cables behind the lighter are just not touching or somesht.

Thanks for any help guys! :)

if your interior dash lights are still working then its not the fuse.

if your not professional i wouldnt even touch it, just leave it. if you screw up you will burn and melt the wires insides your car, and have to rewire the whole care if unlucky and trust me it costs alot to rewire.

i dont think you need to take the handbrake cover off if your working on a cigarette. looks at the pictures in this diy write up and you can figure out where the screws are and how to take off the handbrake cover http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?143277-Handbrake-Boot-for-DC2-4

thats why u have fuses which stop that from happening.
