a very small amount of water is no problem - as the engine will always suck in air in favour of water....just do not submerse your pod filter = hydrolock.

would anyone here kno where i could purchase a heat shield sorta thing for the pod?
and how much would it cost?

what my problem is.. is that ive got an air vent on the bonnet right above the pod..
therefore.. stormy weather such as tonite.. isnt good for my car..

The only time the car will seriously get a Hydrolock is when the filter is under water, with splashes on the filter, the engine will still pick up the air instead of the water...

Might be worth blocking up the vent and making a CAI instead.

you just buy a new bonnet if youdidnt like the look as well, fix to problems at once

SPERMZ : does ur piping from ur pod go down to the front corner of the car.. behind the front bar?.. does it does go down.. to an opening.. where the air can go directli into it?

shouldn't most POD filter be oil to minimise moister intake? Coz i remembered that i was told to reoil my HKS POD after washing it to minimise dusts, moisters, and other particles getting into the engine.

u could most probabli use the oil to prevent dust and a bit of moist gettin into the engine...

but since my pod is right under a vent.. it'll saturated rather than just being moist..

i'd probabli just cover my vent for now..
but then i would b gettin less air flow into the pod..
thinkin about the CAI.. but no sure where to run the pipes to.. since the front bar is coverin most the air flow into the pod

water is one thing u dont want comin in contact with ur pod. do as Spermz has done and put some donkey dick around ur pod, just 2 minimise the chances :P

Mines cut a bit short. So yes it sits behind the bumper. I gotta get a new one so it connects dirrectly to my body kit.
