hey y'all

so I changed my 4 disc brake lines and bled them all (this is after an accident where a hose failed so subsequently the master cylinder was totally empty) but after bleeding all 4 lines the brakes work but are still spongy.

my question is:

if the lines don't have air coming out them when bleeding but the pedal is still spongy, is the next step to take off the master cylinder and bleed that too?

matt, dont remove the bmc+booster from your car.

just bleed them like this:

you just set it up like that then pump the brakes as per usual bleed method right? hopefully supercheap has those hoses but if not I can probable make some, i got a couple spare flare nuts.

*edit*

is there anywhere else air can be trapped, prop valve etc?

nah dont think so. i got the hoses from bunnings, downside is you can only get them in a roll.
dont think they sell per meter anymore.

set it up like that and just pump the pedal until you dont see anymore bubbles.
