What engine differences are there between the JP and EU/US models? What gives the JP models the 184 kw over the EU/US 177 kw?
I presume in aust. we get the JP model 184 kw?

no, we get 176kw cuz of our shitty fuel.

Hmmm but the JP is the same compression ration 11.7 - 1.

There are a lot of other factors. The ECU will have a specific tune that will ultimately mean the car runs safely on our less than ideal fuel. This safety comes at a price of torque and consequentially power.
For example, an EuDM spec H22A8 has a compression ratio of 11.0:1 like the JDM H22A but has less power than even the AuDM H22Z1 with 10.0:1. 197 bhp vs 200bhp (JDM has 11.0:1 and 217 bhp).

JDM motor runs higher compression really not much a diffrence to bother researching u could net that from an intake lol
But if you really want to know more try google JDM F20C diffrences
We have the F20C1 and they have a F20C
