Mobil 1 oil in Civic Hybrid

Can I use Mobil 1 5W-30 in my 2006 Civic Hybrid?
Mobil recommends this grade. Honda dealers say using Mobil 1 and not Honda 0W-20 oil will mean poorer performance, increased fuel consumption and more engine wear.

The hybrid's engine is designed to take 0w-20. By using tighter tolerances, the engine can operate with a thinner oil which improves on fuel consumption. I recommend sticking to 0w-20 in this case. It is one of those cases where there is a particular reason why the low viscosity is used.

Whether there will be more engine wear by going from 0w-20 to 5w-30, I can't answer that though...
