Vtec aint working :s

Hey everyone i just wanted to ask on the forums before i end up having to spend heaps on the mechanics..

well my vtec doesnt kick in on my b16 engine. i have recently changed the solenoid but it didnt make a difference. does anyone else have any other idea what it might be?

Could be lots of things..

-oil pressure
-oil level
-vehicle speed sensor (vss)
-VTS filter screen

check ECU for error codes too

oil filter
solenoid gasket leaking
reset ecu if you have changed battery recently
oil

Had the same prob with my car......check the grounding for the battery?
will post up a youtube vid that walks you through checking if your solenoid is working with a volt meter....
