Well to cut a long story short,

I purchased an EG5 2 months ago that need's a little work but in very good mechanical shape.

It has a full ITR conversion from a 98 JDM donor, with the motor, gearbox, brakes, hubs, dash, aircon, abs, lca, whee ls,suspension, seats and so on all swapped in favour of the type-r gear.

Basicly the only thing that is an EG is the body .

So in my first few days of looking over the car I found one of the rear sway bar D-Brackets was snapped, so I removed the bar as there was a bit of noise coming from the rear to inspect it further.

The swaybar looks to be like a Whiteline unit and from my reaserch it is a 2 way adjustable 20mm,

it looks fairly old but still in good shape,

One problem I have had is getting another D-Bracket, as Whiteline dont do them and a few wreckers dont have any and Honda say I should go to Whiteline

The issue I have is the body is an EG but the LCA are DC2R along with the ABS Lines, see bellow:

So im not sure which way to go, I have found this kit KBR28-20 from whiteline and it has the upgraded heavy duty brackets and lower brace for $220 but will it fit with my ABS lines as it says it not for the DC2R

Then I was thinking I could just get a 24mm whiteline kit to suit the DC2R but have read some where the DC2R had upgraded lower sub frame compared to the EG? so I might be asking for trouble as the DC2R kit mounts directly to the sub frame? or am I wrong?

If anyone has had the same issues please feel free to coment.

Thanks for taking the time our to read my thread.

I cant believe Whiteline can't even offer you a replacement D-bracket, thats ridiculous....

The heavy duty mounting bracket in that kit (KBR28-20) looks like it may foul against your ABS line along the subframe (possibly why its not suited to DC2R)

I would suggest just getting in contact with someone like JDMyard or SuperPro bushes and sort out a replacement D-bracket so you can re-use your old Whiteline swaybar

Not sure if this helps, but I recently put DC2R LCA's on my EH9.

My OEM 14mm RSB wouldn't bolt onto the DC2R LCA's because the endlinks are different, so I got the bolt that goes through the rear shock fork/eyelet (from a wrecker) and used it to bolt the OEM RSB through that hole you can see on the DC2R RSB and I used a 14mm nut (like from a strut tower) to hold the bolt into the DC2R LCA.

I was thinking of doing a DIY 'How to bolt your OEM 14mm RSB to a DC2R LCA' but wasn't sure there would be enough demand for it.

I can supply pictures if you think it would help with your particular RSB.
