Any mods? I know my immobiliser plays up every once and a while and I need to remove the key, lock the car n wait a few moments before unlocking and trying again.
ive tried that and still nothing :( My factory alarm has been playing up as it wont lock the rear hatch but it locks and unlocks the doors fine, but even so, it was starting my car fine everyday for a year that ive owned it for. Mods are fully forged engine build with haltech ecu.
Ok ive fixed it temporarily, a couple of taps to the starter motor with the end of a big screwdriver and BAM starts. Looks like the starter/solenoid will need to be replaced or rebuilt soon. Oh well appreciate the help anyway lol.

get it rebuilt asap dude... u wouldn't wanna get stuck in the middle of no where..
Sounds like the starter motor ring is absolutely ****ed...
Curiously... was your car crunching when you started it everytime you went for a drive?
yeah exactly i will be getting it done shortly, and as for crunching, no nothing at all no erratic sounds or anything.

mmmmmm Very strange... it should be crunching before it gives way....
Before you go spend a large amount of $$$$... go get a check and make sure it isn't something else as a new starter costs a fortune through Honda and a rebuild will probably be around $600-$800...
Just in labour costs.... The starter motor on the DC5 is in a nightmare of a position from memory >.>
Haven't gone to look at mine since i heard the crunching lol
No crunching as of yet, but id never buy brand new from honda i dont have a million dollars, instead i might just use one from a 03-04 RSX hopefully as they are readily available over there and dirt cheap too.
