do you need to reseal the valve cover if youre just changing it to a new one? so if i was to buy a new valve cover i'd have to buy a seal kit to go along with it? (sorry for semi hijack)

what do you mean reseal valve cover?
valve cover gasket can be reused as long as the rubber hasnt gone hard.
make sure to apply liquid gasket on some contact area between valve cover and head.
look on your service manual, i think each engine has different spots. K/B/D?

dude fi you are stuck you CAN reuse all those gaskets - just wipe clear of oil and debris , apply abiy of hondabond or other oil-safe gasket to above the cam guides and around each O ring you will be alright.
