Hi guys

I need to upgrade the BMC on my EG to 15/16" and looking at possibly DC2/DC4 ones.

I need to know whether the outlet ports for the brake lines on the DC2 are in the same position as EG5 because I don't want to go bending brake lines. I've noticed on EK1 BMC they have one port facing directly up which wouldn't work with EG brake lines.

EG bmc has one port facing 45deg up and one port facing straight horizontal.

Or if anyone has a close up pic of a DC2/4 BMC that would be great.

Thanks!

This is an EG civic 13/16

Also is it worth upgrading the stock 30/40 prop valve on an EG5 with DC2 front brakes?

in the 1" bmc from integra, brake hard lines dont match with eg. gotta bend it yourself.
as for 15/16, i can't say exactly but im quite sure that it wont be exactly the same like EG.

bending lines is not a problem as long as no sharp bends.
cross sectional area will decrease, but i dont think it really matters.

Thanks for that

After spending a couple hours looking over a zillion DC2 engine bay pics on the internet I have concluded that early model (pre-facelift) 93-96 DC2 have the same ports as EG where as facelift 98-99 models have updated BMC with 1 port going straight up like in EK's

top left is same design as DC2 93-96 - brake lines stick out to the side

right ones are similar setup to EK4/DC2 98-99 with the brake line facing up
