Hey guys,
Ive owned my euro for over 4 months now and everything is stock standard. Question i have is are the headlights really bright stock?
Since owning it ive had lots of people either yelling at me or sticking up the finger or even getting behind me and riding my ass with their high beams on. I can only assume that they may think im high beamimg them first coz it is unnaturally bright on low beams.
Maybe it needs vertical adjustment?

Park your car with the front facing the wall and turn on your headlights. This way you can see how high they are. Of they are pointing to the sky adjust them to make them level again.

I've read on here that this isn't something new. They're pretty bright. A few guys have related similar stories of jerks taking offence to the Euro HID's.
Try changing the angle, if you can. Not sure about previous models, I've a CU2 standard, you can angle them down by a switch. I figure its the same for previous models. But the guys who own CL7's or 9's could tell you.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try angle them down or at least check that they are at factory level. Would you know by any chance what the factory level for this is? Eg if i park it 1 metre from a wall, how far up the wall would the top of the beam should be?
I've acutally just arrived from a long drive from Surfers Paradise...wow what a long ride especially the detours back to sydney due to the floods, but i've been tail gated and high beamed on the way home tonight just coz its "bright"

The halogen lights are fairly dim. After I put an HID kit on mine, the headlights are way way brighter. And in the 6 or so months that I've had the car, I haven't had a single person flash their lights or do anything else like that.

yeah the stock lights were so dim - the woman had trouble driving at night.
whacked in HIDs and now its much better.
went into a car park and and viewed them head on - i noticed my lights were angeled down already so I dont think it is a bother to anyone
