I'm gonna give CarX a call tomorrow as i've heard good things about them and they have good prices. Any others you guys recommend? And can i just ask for the 'darkest legal tint on all windows'? Or do i need to be specific with the % and shiz

Thanks :)

u dont have to be specific, but if u are picky (like me) i told them exactly how i want my car done.

i got my tinted at CarX. Was very pleased with their work and more so their price.

35% is the darkest legal but i say its not dark enough.
20% should be perfect all round.

Is the price haggle-able? And can cops check how dark your tint is on the spot?

well depending on how dark ur tint is. 35% is very moderate. but if u have 5% or say 15% is very easily spotted.

just tint ur front windows legal and rear windows 5% thats what i did. by doing this, u make the inside cabin darker which makes it look like the fronts a darker too =D

price is 200 for a standard car, front and rear and boot.

extra 30 for 5% tint which is still heaps cheaper then most places around.

as for contact details

Gave them a call, they said 200 and 30 for darker than legal as quangsuke stated. Said it would take around 1 hour to do. I'll be getting it done next monday as tomorrow's pretty booked out.

Vicroads says that front windscreen cannot be tinted AT ALL apart from manufacturer's original tint. All other windows (excluding sunroof) must have 35% transmittance minimum. So in a nutshell, what he's suggesting is illegal. Depends how much risk you're willing to take. Insurance companies can use it to void your policy in the event of a claim, and cops can fine you etc

main concern is the front windows that the driver looks out of. its like a limo.... passenger and driver side is vaguely tinted and rear is made darker.

even new family 4wd are coming out with 2 shades of tint and im 100% sure its darker then 35%.
