I want to fit a rear seat cover on my FD1 civic.

How to do the bottom half?

Do I need to remove the bottom half of the rear seat? How?

Thanks.

look under the rear seats at the front. there should be two plastic tabs. u have to release them in order to get the bottom part of the rear seats out.

first remove the bolt(#21) in the middle of the seat near the 2 seatbelt lock (you need a socket wrench to do this)..then look for the two plastic clip(#7) under the frond side of the seat..and unlock it by puling it towards the front of your car..do not pull it upwards because this clips can easily be broken...

Curiously, has anyone found decent seat covers that actually cover over parts 1 and 15, as in the separate side seat panels on either side of the seat back?

I have a black seat cover that covers all of part 2, but won't get around parts 1 and 15, and it could look better...

^ got my seatcover set from canterbury for around $300 and the cover for 1 and 15 is separated from #2 because of the 60/40 seats...if you want only the 1 and 15 cover..i think they can do it..

Thank you, fitme. Your figure is very helpful.

I have done the fitting.

I can only cover part 2, not parts 1 and 15, as the back seat part 2 need to be folded down and the seat cover is one piece.

just looks a bit out of place. Maybe if the leather cover wasn't black, it would match the carpet more.

I'm thinking of just leaving the rear seats with no covers since i probably only have someone sitting in the back once a at least, and the days of *picking up at the club, takaing a girl back with you and messing up the backseat of the car* are over.. xD

i like the look. i have black floor mats, so they grey carpet is hardly seen and once the door trims get the black leather on it, it should look sweet :D
