Alpine IDA x001 iphone issue

My iphone 3gs will no longer play music on my alpine idax001. I have had my iphone replaced and the phone works on the newer versions of this head unit i have in my other car.I have tried reseting the phone as well

I get an error message on the screen of the head unit saying ipod error
Is there is fix

no issues with compatibility.. check rear usb connection is secured, check phone is updated with latest firmware, check pins at base of iphone to make sure none have been bent

does it play music with usb source?

I will have to check usb connectoion but the error message says ipod error so it seems to be checking the phone. I have not tried to play music through a usb. Phone works with the other alpine head units i have just not with the idax001

I sometimes get the 'no device' error on my x305s.. have to turn ignition off then back on to fix the prob

Alpine units dont seem to come without their fair share of hassles ;p
