Basically had this HRV with a d16 for a bit over a year..
It would be fine most of the time, and then ocassionally the coolant overflow bottle would be full and even spout out.. but then it would be fine for a couple of months.
after a long interstate drive, i checked the coolant overflow and it was full again.
I then removed the rad cap, and pull the throttle, and then it would foam up out of the top of the rad, and go down when throttle was released.
did a compression test a month ago and levels were fine.. between 190 and 205psi (not a super high compression engine either).
i am naturally presuming head gasket.. but wondering on anything else to check first.
(i have given it new OEM coolant, new rad cap, and new thermostat within the last year too)
