Hey,

I'm new, clearly. Anyway I've stumbled across this site after searching for a s2000 that I'm considering buying. So i thought what better way to convince myself to do it than join a forum of Honda crazed enthusiasts :D.

I've always sort of had a stiffy for s2000's really, just something about their look and sound that really makes me hot and bothered. After flipping my last car (Holden Astra '03) i've decided it's time to move on up in the world and really turn some heads.

In the coming weeks i hope to be an active member of the community and ask many stupid questions and contribute what i can.

Haha, valid point. But i think i'd be too scared to do anything stupid enough to jeopardized my s2K's safety and well being.

Besides, i was reading another post before where member 'YLDS2K' posted the following.

the S2000 is considered the or one of the safest roadsters built. Honda reinforced and designed the roll bar and a-pillar using their own 55mph rollover tests, since the US has no rollover test. the S2000 not only completely protects the passengers in a roll over, it also received the maximum award in all other US tests. they also did their own rear collision tests, another test not standard in the US. in a 45mph rear collision, the damage does not go past the center of the rear wheels.

in a rollover, the seat belts stay locked to hold passengers into the seats, and the roll bar and a-pillar will barely crush in order to protect the passenger compartment. (there was an S2000 that rolled his car at 70mph, flipped and rolled his car over a dozen times, landed upside down and walked out unharmed. in fact, the passenger compartment was never compromised.

So hopefully i'll be even safer!

As for how i did it. I'm not really able to discuss that in detail at the moment since i'm under investigation.
It's been a while now but hopefully i'll get a pay out soon enough, fingers crossed.

Hahaha lemme guess. Handbrake attempt at drifting a corner. FWD + fast corner and handbrake = fails?
Just a guess, not accusing you of being as stupid as that / as stupid as I have. Didn't flip it but got airborn off a gutter into someone's front yard :D

lol how weird is that

if you flip a car you'll want to buy an s2k (which ironically has no roof)
