EG5 Driver's side door handle - F*K#D

Hey all,
Don't know what happened because I haven't had time to open up my door but one day as I pulled the driver's side door handle I heard a "clink" which sorta sounded like a spring fling out or whatever...

Has anyone experienced a problem like this?

does the door handle still work?

i just removed mine the other day and snapped all the plastic clips - but the screw still holds it in place fine

to take it off and have a look - undo the screw - slide it forward (toward front of the car)
it will pop out - but dont yank it because theres a clip that holds the rod mechanism onto the handle
theres a little clip you have to slide off before the handle will come off

yeah theres a spring inside ur door thats popped out, its kinda fiddly to put back in. open up ur other door trim and you'll see how the spring is fitted and just do the same to ur broken door.

one of the springs fell out of my passenger door when i cracked it open but its working without it now so meh lol
