Gear box rebuilds type r 4.7lsd

Hi there guys,

Would anyone know of any places or person that can rebuild a dc2r gear box? 5th gear crunches so the 5th gear has to be put in slow in order for it not to be crunched i guess the syncros are stuffed.

Is it worth rebuilding it? or just buy a replacement gearbox thank you.

Called up Adrian from TODA AU, 5th syncros is the dearest.

Around $300+ ~ 5th gear syncros

PM TODA AU and they will tell you the story from there, on how much it will all cost up.

try to double clutch into fifth, should be smooth as usual

my 3rd gear crunches on high revs, but if i double clutch, it gets into gear fine

stop thrashing your car then you should be able to go into any gear... even 6th on a dc2r ITR

Toda's probably the best with gearboxes as well!! from stock to race boxes.
I've had supposedly "professional" transmission shops go to him when they don't know how to...

im getting mine rebuilt on tuesday by hondaworld.. my box has problem with reverse and a winding noise in fifth.

i've only heard the best from the guys at adelaid. my cousins bike gets serviced there everytime, workshop is just spotless and price isn't off the roof either.

Sweet as thanks guys.. 5th was already stuffed from previous owner just never got around to repairing it.. But selling my car and no.1 wants to buy my car with the 5th gear like this.
