Seat belt Locked up

Hi guys

One of the back passenger seat belts have locked up on my civic. I took off my rear speaker to check it out and the mechanism is locked. The same as if you pulled the seatbelt really fast and it would lock up. Any ways of fixing this... or do i have to pay a visit to the wreckers??? :)

its illegal to fit 2nd hand belts to a car, so you might have to buy a new one, its just not worth trying to fix your existing one as you never know if it will fail abd cause someone injury.

that seatbelt that has locked up - the clutch mechanism inside has no doubt been in a previous accident ( sudden shock screws seat belts. . . ) .

And as ECU MAN said, its illegal.

Itz ok I fixed it. Just gave it some slack and it free'd up. No I haven't had a accident there before dude... so that can't be the case. I've owned it for 3 years and itz the first time it has happened. And I didn't know it was illegal to change seatbelts, now I know.. thanks guys.
