was driving last night and noticed that my car would randomly drop temperature, then go back up to nomal in a few mintues of normal driving.
this also happened when i was driving to the gong awhile back, when it was cold and raining. but i would fully drop to cold then really slowly go back normal.
anyone know what it could be, is it normal?
check the connection to the temperature sender unit.

Overheating at all, or just dropping but not heating past normal?

im not sure if its normal, but its happens to me all the time, not so much in summer ^.^
but in winter i used to baby my car just say when im buy myself or like on the way to work
early hours of the morning, and my car would go from running temp and drop down to near cold.
its weird then i would just keep the revs up a bit (not alot LOL) and it would warm up again,
not to sure what it is, either me driving like a b1tch and its the cold weather cooling it down
or my cars playing up too haha
i dont think its anything to serious but you wouldnt want a cold car and then you race someone of the lights
would put stress on your motor, im not much help but its not only you with this problem..

Your thermostat is most likely on its way out. It is getting stuck open hence the temperature drop.
More air goes through a moving car compared to stationary with only the fan pulling the air in.
This also causes your engine to run richer due to engine temperature fluctuation.
Time to get a new OEM thermostat.

no overheating, the car just sometimes, on the rare occasion drops temp. to near cold when i driving, easy driving.
had a feeling the thermostat was on the way out, takes me almost 15-20mins to be at normal temp.

Yeah that's why I asked my previous Q's. Sounds like thermostat is about to shit itself and is randomly opening and cooling down your engine too much, so you'll be using too much fuel. Change it asap, only about $45 from Honda.
