Accord CD5 spedo problem

hey guys
i got a 1994 accord vti,
the clocks on 210xxx
and my spedo and odometer have stopped, after an hour drive it would start working again but would not be accurate for another 5 mins,

ive been thinking it may be a fuse or the spedo sensor?


any help guys? hard or expensive fix or what else it might be


i need help asasp i cannot drive to work, do not want to risk it.

Well if you want to properly diagnose the problem I suggest taking it to a mechanic...

We can only go so far as to speculate here. But some possibilities...

* Cluster is on it's way out
* speed sensor died (which may result in a cel)
* electrical fault somewhere

You need to check whether there is a good voltage coming from the speed sensor...I believe it's located above the transaxle...if it's working fine then it's your cluster. Just buy a direct replacement ~$100
