View Full Version : What were your negative cambers, when lowered without adj arms?

Hey guys,

Bout to get sussy sorted, and would like to know how much neg camber you guys were running without the adj arms. If it's around 2 I don't mind not getting some ingalls, as the rims I bought came with shitty nankangs, which I don't care much about. But if it's going to be something that WILL chew through tyres insanely, I will definitely get one. (All this considering correct toe.)

Also this is with the koni/eibach combo I'm most likely gonna get. Would it differ if I decided to lets say, get N+?

I'm not sure what the camber angle is but my mates euro has massive camber. I hav ingalls RCA and the rear wheels have much better tyre life so it is worth getting them.

Mine has -2.5, -3 rears lowered to less than 1 finger gap i think

i have -6 rear and -1 front all natural camber, only have coilovers with -2 finger gap all round.

do have a full set of spoon sports adjustable arms waiting for me to get motivated enough to fit them

I'm not sure how much camber I'm
Running but it's all natural and I'd prob say about -6 on the rears after BLOX LCa installed...

Car is sitting on lowest point of Tein type street flex dampers no finger gap :)

How's tyre life been for -6? Sounds like a fair bit... 2.5 I can live with.

OP - depends what your lowering on generally no finger gap gives you roughly -2 to 2.5 on the rear and front would be -1 to 1.5

what coilovers got you negative 2 finger gap?

Well it's not gonna be slammed 1-2 finger gap on koni yellow and eibach pro kit.

you will have nice camber, around 2 on the rear and 1 on the fronts. wont chew tires either.

Mine was -2.4 and -3 on both rear wheels before i installed the rear camber kit so i'm assuming yours would be similar as i have Eibach springs.

Yeah I can live with that. How was the tyre life when you had that?

I got the camber kit week after lowering it.Wasn't game to see how my $350/corner tyres would wear!!

Yeah that's fair enough. Leaving towards keeping the camber for now while those shitty Nankangs are on it! Once they're done and I've got the tyres I want, I'll correct my camber.

Don't worry nankangs don't wear out....just don't give you grip though.
Keep us posted on how the nankangs hold up with awesome camber.

I'm hunting for a camber kit atm, does anyone know if the Ebay alternatives are any good? They're a lot cheaper, but obviously I do not want to sacrifice safety for a few bucks!

Locally, all I'm able to find are 'HardRace' and Js Racing camber kits.. has anyone heard of Hard Race? LOL

ideally looking for an ingalls kit, but figured they might be all similar since they're just two sticks

FYI
I have -5 rear -2 front (-1.5/2 finger gap at rear, -0.5 finger gap at the front), natural camber at the rear with front adjustables.
My rubber lasted about 5000km, they are full bald on the inside (rear only), that being said, there has been some fairly enthusiastic driving on those.
Brand: Falken 912's

Gonna get the NS2's next, and get a proper alignment done.

Yeah posted a WTB with no replies (WHERE IS THE OzHonda LOVE :()

just got quoted $205 for a brand new pedders camber kit.. not direct from Pedders though, funnily enough! How difficult is it to install a camber kit by yourself? (I did the coilover install myself, but not sure how you measure the camber angles etc)

correct, the front and rears are tucked in very nicely, never scrapes even with 18x8.5+35 (225/40)

btw -2 means i have NO GAP and the top. My tires are now 2 fingers up inside the guards.
