View Full Version : Acceleration surge at low kms

Hi!

I have a 2005 Honda Euro (lovely!!).

Yesterday, it 'surged' as I was pulling into a parking spot (I actually HIT the gutter as I was driving in!) I was surprised, to say the least, as I didn't think I had done anything untoward!

Then, the next morning, as I reversed out of my garage, it appeared to 'surge' again!
(Only briefly both times!)

The same afternoon, about 3minutes from leaving work, I felt a sensation like a metal rope being dragged against the accelerator pedal.

NOW I am getting a little jittery!

Am I losing it - or is there a problem?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

regards
Karyn

vtec ghost is a joke lol

could be a problem with the automatic transmission system - my advice for a niggle like this would be to take it to a honda mechanic for a checkup

Hi!

thanks guys!!!
I figured it was a joke but it could have been 'Honda' talk for a particular problem!!

Lol on me!

Son-in-law thought it might have had something to do with the cruise control.

I wanted to 'suss' it out before going to the specialists.

Thanks for your reply

Perhaps gearbox related issue such as torque converter? Or maybe throttle body as they are electronically controlled.
