are oem gaskets the best

i am putting y1 head onto y4 bottom.
what headgasket would you recommend? original or other y1
manifold gaskets?
has anyone tried parts from the states?
what is a y1 in the states z6?
what plugs would you recommend?

stick with the metal gaskets. any other material is rubbish

If you know where to look and what to look out for, you can get ones made by the OEM manufacturers at half the cost.

same goes for bearings , fluids etc ! OEM = add a cut on top !

I've been using things from Eristic Gaskets, NPR etc etc...
